I get to go bowling a few times a year. Most of those times are in the summer. Most of those times in the summer are with kids who have little idea of how to bowl. Some of those times are with kids who have never been bowling.
Summer 2009 was no different. My interns and I spent one afternoon during each of our home assignment weeks at Littleton Lanes with the TCKs who were in the office that week. We had a blast. Some weeks we bowled with the rails up. Some weeks we didn’t. Every week we laughed a lot. One week the interns and I even competed against each other. Rachel wound up treating us to Coldstone that week.
Our wildest and wooliest weekly bowling excursion is pictured above. We didn’t just have 9 boys between the ages of 10 and 13 that week. We had 2 sets of brothers (and each set of brothers has a set of identical twins) from Senegal, 1 pair of sisters from Rwanda, and a brother/sister team from Brazil. It was intense fun-filled laughter and competition and a great way to start our week together.
