The Great Rift Valley

Thunder clouds and the Great Rift ValleyNineteen years ago (I’m old!) I visited Kenya for the first time.  Here I am again.  There are some parts of it that are so familiar to me.  It makes me want to say, “Africa is Africa.”  And of course there is some truth to that statement, but Kenya is not Cote d’Ivoire.  There are differences between nations—especially between the eastern and western sides of the continent.  One of the striking differences is that I’m really enjoying the weather here.  I can’t say I was a huge fan of the weather in West Africa.  Sweating is not my favorite thing to do—especially when it happens as a by product of normal breathing.

So, here I am in Kenya enjoying cool breezes and warm sunshine; meeting people who are deeply vested in TCK education; connecting with some former students; learning more truth; trying to share some truth.  How blessed I am!
